Free All Day

Our students experience an entire school day filled with academics, electives and physical education. We believe in free public education for every child. Nosotros Academy will never charge our families for a full day of kindergarten.

Safety

Our campus is safe and protected every day. We have a full-time security officer and work closely with Pima Community College Police to make sure our children are always safe.

Transportation

We help students get to and from both our Grande and El Rio campuses. If needed, we can also offer home pick-up and drop-off to make sure every child gets to school safely and on time.

To enroll your child in kindergarten at Nosotros Academy, you’ll need:

Birth certificate (kindergarteners must be 5 years old prior to September 1, 2025)
Immunization records (all shots must be current)
Registration, emergency medical, and first aid forms (available at the school and here)
Proof of Arizona residency (i.e., a utility bill or lease agreement)
Picture ID of parent or guardian

Frequently Asked Questions

How old must my child be to attend school?

Nosotros Academy follows state guidelines for kindergarten age cutoffs.

In Arizona, your child must be 5 years old before September 1 of the year in which they wish to start kindergarten. If your child does not meet the standard age cutoff but will be turning 5 years old before December 31, you may apply for early kindergarten admission.

Where is the Kindergarten Campus?

Our kindergarten is located at the El Rio Campus at 1390 W Speedway Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85745. Parents can drop off and pick up students at either El Rio or our main campus at 440 N Grande Ave. Nosotros Academy provides transportation between both campuses for your convenience.

Is Kindergarten Free for my child All Day?

Yes! Kindergarten at Nosotros Academy is completely free all day. Families will never be charged. Students enjoy academics, electives, and physical education — all at no cost.

Is Nosotros Academy Kindergarten a public school?

Yes. Nosotros Academy is a free public charter school, recognized by the Arizona Department of Education and the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools.

Does my child need to know Spanish?

No, students do not need to know Spanish. All instruction is 100% in English, but we do offer Spanish as an elective class.

Is Lunch Free?

Yes! All students at Nosotros Academy receive free lunch every day. Parents are also welcome to pack a lunch if they prefer.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. Students are asked to wear a navy blue or white collared shirt with navy blue or khaki bottoms.
